Direct from Go to Wireshark

If you would like to use the WLAN Pi Go to capture packets on your laptop, there are some options.

On Mac, Intuitibits has another tool called Airtool 2 which functions the same way as Airtool Pi.

Operation is very similar to Airtool Pi. There are many benefits of Airtool such as multi-adapter capture. For example, you can connect multiple WLAN Pi Go devices to your Mac and capture on multiple channels simultaneously.

Wireshark Capture

The free to use, cross platform approach is using Wireshark with a single WLAN Pi Go.

Ensure you have the latest version of Wireshark installed and in the opening screen find 'Capture'. Scroll to the bottom to find 'Wi-Fi remote capture wifidump'

Click the settings icon to the left and make the following changes.

Set the IP address of the SSH server to 10.42.0.1

Set the remote interface to wlan0 and set the channel and width to the desired channel.

Capture should start working when you press start
