Extra Profiler tasks
Bonus Step 1 - Profile the 2.4 GHz frequency band
Profiler is only able to capture device capabilities for the frequency band on which you are broadcasting the 'fake AP'. Profiler currently only supports the 5 GHz and 2.4 GHz bands for broadcasting via its "fake AP". As we've profiled on the 5 GHz already, let's try profiling a device on the 2.4 GHz band.
FPMS
Stop Profiler, navigate to
Apps > Profiler > Stop
Start Profiler on the 2.4 GHz band,
Apps > Profiler > Start on 2.4 GHz
CLI
If Profiler was started from the FPMS, it is running as a systemd service. You can stop it like this:
Start Profiler on specific channel (from the other frequency band)
Bonus Step 2 - Profile additional devices
Test any and all other devices you have with you to capture and view their capabilities on both frequency bands. Try to "ask a friend" if they'll try associating with your Profiler SSID to trigger some new profiling events to provide more data to review.
Bonus Step 3 - Share your results with the community
Browse to https://clients.mikealbano.com and look through the list
Check whether any of the devices you profiled just now are absent from the list? If you want. Share your profiled device capabilities:
Click "Add a Client Here"
